Since the ubiquity of GPS navigation, we have lost more than just the ability to find our way; we have lost the instinct to connect with the physical world. When one becomes accustomed to following a blue dot on a screen, sensitivity to architecture, wind direction, and the play of light and shadow begins to atrophy.

A parallel phenomenon is quietly reshaping the culinary world. As our palates are increasingly "navigated" by social media algorithms, we no longer visit a restaurant because we discovered it, but because we were "pushed" there by a system.

To ensure your anxiety remains at a minimum, the system has learned to filter reality. It does not serve your destination; it serves your "mood."

This may be a form of progress, but it comes at a cost: the gradual surrender of our sovereignty to define "taste" and "aesthetics." True surprise cannot be generated within the predetermined paths of known preferences; it exists only in the moment of collision between yourself and the physical world.

If these moments are preemptively erased by a system, "correctness" becomes nothing more than the choice of the majority, rather than a calibrated judgment.
